Job Description
At our Corporate Office in Amsterdam we are looking for a Trainee Online Distribution. Online distribution plays an important role in hotel room sales. Online distribution includes a whole range of direct and 3d party channel distribution (Expedia.com, Booking.com etc). The Revenue department is also responsible for all commercial aspects for 3rd party channels as well as matters related to system connectivity.
Commercial aspects include contract negotiations with 3rd parties and Account Management. The system connectivity plays an important part of online distribution and relates to interface set up and maintenance of the different connections to the 3rd parties as well as our own Central Reservation System.
Objectives
During the traineeship, you will learn about all aspects of 3rd party online distribution and get an insight on commercial and technical matters related to online distribution.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Provide support for a wide range of Distribution and Strategic sales activities. Work closely with the Manager Distribution & Reservations and Distribution Systems Support Executive:
Provide general support for hotels and 3rd party channelsConduct audit reportsProvide monthly and ad hoc reports and analysis on 3rd party performanceContent maintenance (hotel information, hotel descriptions, rate information for 3rd parties)Central Reservations System supportAssist in new hotel implementationsContract administration
Job Requirements
We are looking for
Experience in Sales, Reservations, Revenue Management or Front Office in the hospitality industryBasic understanding of the Reservation & Sales processesAble to communicate and write fluently in English, preferably also in Dutch and GermanComputer skills: excel, word, power point, Opera PMSPrevious experience with OTA extranets preferredFlexible attitudeAble to work independentlyExcellent interpersonal communication skills are requiredHighly organised with an eye for detailHands on mentalityResults orientedTeam playerA person who easily connects with other persons and can live up to our mission statement: Inspiring our guests through individuality and passion!
